The narrative has a solid rogue's gallery, with some lesser known villains slipping into the fray. It's set several years before 'Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009)', giving us control of a less experienced Batman as he sees himself targeted by a slew of assassins. Still, as I've mentioned, the game is enjoyable right the way through. Somehow, everything just seems a little more clunky this time around. It is, essentially, something to tide fans over until the next proper instalment, built around the same core mechanics as its big brothers but lacking their polish and, even, style. 'Batman: Arkham Origins (2013)' isn't as good as any of the main, Rocksteady-developed 'Arkham' games, but it's a really good effort in its own right.
